18. What are the differences among the various Pioneer Superdrives; DVR- 103, A03, 104, A04, 105, and A05?

The AOX drives are retail drives, so are labelled Pioneer and come in a retail Pioneer box along with media and software. The 10X drives are OEM drives, and are often sold bare, with no Pioneer label, software, or media. The A0X and 10X drives function identically.
The drives differ in media write speeds. A03 write speeds: CD-R = 8X CD-RW = 4X DVD-R = 2X DVD-RW = 1X
A04 write speeds: CD-R = 8X CD-RW = 8X DVD-R = 2X DVD-RW = 1X
A05 write speeds: CD-R = 16X CD-RW = 8X DVD-R = 4X DVD-RW = 2X
